Utter Pradesh: The Hon’ble Parliamentary Affairs Minister “Shri. Suresh Kumar” requested a hearing in Parliament against the Five police officers and requested that they be imprisoned.
The rally was going on about the poor electricity service, but in the middle, police officials stopped it and began using indecency to create a nuisance. Not only that, but the police also lathi-charged, breaking an MLA’s leg.
Shri. Suresh Kumar says that by ordering lathi-charge on people, the Uttar Pradesh Police have misused their power and taken the law into their own hands. A special officer who was assigned to the inquiry found the police officers guilty.
The Uttar Pradesh Legislature set an example by temporarily transforming the legislature into a court.
Before passing the order, the Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly permitted the police officers to argue their points, but all of the police officers apologized for their mistakes, indicating that they accepted the blame for what they did.
Prior to accepting the police officers’ apologies, Shri. Suresh Kumar argued that since the police’s faults are difficult to forgive, he appealed to jail all of the involved officers.
Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly orders are not challengeable in any court.
