Bengaluru: School Children Addicted to Social Media Karnataka High Court SAYS. The Karnataka High Court Justice Narendr suggested an age limit on social media usage should be imposed. “Today’s school-age children are so addicted to social media.”
Justice Narender commented, “I think there should be an age limit, like the Excise rules. While children maybe 17 or 18 years old, they may not have the maturity to make decisions that serve the country’s best interests.”
It is not just social media but also the internet that can have harmful content that can negatively impact the mind. Such content should be removed.
When registering for social media accounts, users are required to provide age-proof documents.
The Karnataka High Court is expected to provide a resolution soon.
