Bengaluru Consumer Court fined Wedding Photographer “Anand Nallapete” for not delivering timely photos and videos. Smt. Gayathri B G hired Anand Nallapete as her wedding photographer after negotiating with the Smt. Gayathri B G; Anand Nallapete agreed to provide wedding photography with an album and video coverage with a CD for a total payment of Rs. 80,000. The complainant paid an advance amount of Rs. 5,000 to Anand Nallapete through online payment on 15.01.2021. It was further agreed that the complainant would pay a part of the remaining amount at the time of the marriage ceremony, and the remaining balance amount would be paid at the time of collecting the album and CD.
Smt. Gayathri B G paid Rs.65,000/- to Anand Nallapete on the day of their marriage in front of her friends at the marriage hall. The total amount paid by her was Rs.70,000/-. In addition, she also transferred Rs.10,000/- through Google Pay while receiving the photo album. The Anand Nallapete was supposed to hand over the CD along with the album but failed to do so, citing some pending work with the CD. Anand Nallapete assured to deliver the CD within 15 days.
Smt. Gayathri said Nallapete did not respond to the legal notice nor respond to the WhatsApp chat. This clearly shows that Nallapete Has taken Rs. 80,000/- for wedding photography service charges.
