Bengaluru: In a week, hotels and restaurants in Bengaluru will be open all the time. Under the ambitious Brand Bengaluru plan, the goal is to improve the image of the tech city.
The Hotels’ Association has been asking for a long time for hotels and restaurants to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even though the state governments agreed to it in the past, no clear agreement was made because of security concerns.
Green signal soon to Bangalore Hotel and Restaurants 24 hours
After meeting with the members of the group on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar agreed with their plan. PC Rao, “We met with the DyCM and presented them with a plan to keep hotels and restaurants in the city open 24 hours a day. Shivakumar listened to what we wanted and said yes.” The members of the group said, “If everything goes well, an order letting hotels and restaurants be open 24/7 could come out in a week or ten days.”
“Last year September, the former CM Basavaraj Bommai stated that permitting 24 hours was unfeasible.”
Over 24,000 small and large hotels are in Bengaluru, and 10% of them are ready to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Aside from this, Rao said, a lot of people want to open new hotels and restaurants exclusively at night.
Rao said that Shivakumar says that our request to keep hotels and restaurants open after 10 p.m. will help people like people who work night jobs, people who drive taxis, and other people. It will add to the Identity Bengaluru project.”
The members of the group also asked DK Shivakumar to make moves to give the hotel industry. Hotels and Restaurants shouldn’t need multiple licenses like trade licenses and Food and Safety Standards Authority of India licenses. Instead, they should only need one license.
