In the Odisha state capital, rescue workers have brought in around 100 bodies while families gather to identify their loved ones.

Officials are looking into whether a signal malfunction caused a train disaster.

“I’m at a loss for words to express my grief.” The government will do everything possible to assist individuals who have been injured. “If anyone is found to be at fault for the accident, they will face severe punishment,” he stated.

PM Modi further stated that extreme care must be taken to ensure that grieving families are not inconvenienced and that those affected continue to receive the assistance they require.

On Friday, Ashwini Vaishnav, the Minister of Indian Railways, announced that compensation would be provided to those affected by the train derailment in Odisha.
