Karnataka man rescues a leopard, Hassan District. A leopard had wandered onto Venugopal's farm in search of food.

HASSAN KARNATAKA – A Karnataka man from Hassan District discovered a dehydrated leopard and, to rescue the leopard, strapped it to his two-wheeler to bring it to a veterinary facility. Venugopoal aka Muttu, 25, saw the leopard in the corner of a farm in Bagivalu village, Arsikere taluk, Hassan district. He stood there for a time, watching the animal.

He approached it when he saw the leopard was too weary to move. The leopard had wandered onto Venugopal’s farm in search of food.

He then scooped up the Leopard, strapped it to his bike, and drove to the township. Villagers who noticed the bizarre sight quickly contacted forest officials, who followed Venugopal. The Leopard was then brought to the government veterinary hospital in its vehicle.

Hassan DCF Ashish Reddy said the leopard was dehydrated and too weary to walk. “It’s about nine months old and must have wandered into the village looking for food,” he said.
