Delivery fees for LPG Gas are already included in your invoice

It's a universal question that everyone is asking

The Bengaluru-based NGO Rise UP For Rights filed a complaint and used RTI (HP Gas, Bharat Gas, Indane Gas) to learn whether home LPG cylinder delivery fees are required to be paid or not. It’s a universal question that everyone is asking.

Rise UP For Rights says,” According to our findings, subscribers are not required to pay any additional delivery fees to the delivery boy.

Customers can file a complaint with the distributor or online.

Although the actual LPG suppliers have not yet specified which floor would be charged for delivery, it is our understanding that subscribers can refuse to pay delivery fees if they are located on the ground or 1st floor. The cost of gas delivery ranges from Rs50 to Rs100, depending on the destination floor. The fact that so many people tip the delivery boys, and these tips show the generosity of the customers.

Mr. Kishor, a resident of Gotigere in Bengaluru, said I understand that delivery of gas cylinders is not an easy task because of the heavyweight, but delivery boys should charge a reasonable fee of Rs 20 to Rs 30. Delivery boys use our apartment elevator, which is more helpful for them in delivering gas cylinders. We don’t mind tipping, but they force us to pay a minimum of 50rs, and if we question them or refuse to pay, they don’t properly deliver the gas cylinder. Sometimes the apartment elevator does not work for technical reasons, so the delivery boy keeps the gas cylinder near the elevator and leaves. Still, they charge Rs 50 for non-delivery, and we have to lift the gas cylinder, which also frustrates our residents.

Mr. Ramesha, a resident of kamakshipalya in Bengaluru, said I have two companies’ gas connections, and delivery boys always force me to pay approx. 30rs. my home is on the 1st floor and if I refuse to pay delivery charges or pay less delivery amount, then they behave rudely. As a result, the delivery boys do not deliver gas on time, which is extremely disappointing.

HP Gas, Bharat Gas, and Indane Gas replied that since delivery fees are already included in the invoice, it is the distributor’s responsibility to deliver the gas cylinder without charging additional. added by Rise UP For Rights”

If the problem is not rectified, the subscriber may complain about the distributor on the company website.
