Kerala former chief minister Oommen Chandy passed away at the age of 79. Oommen Chandy was a senior Congress leader who had been the leader of Kerala twice. He was 79 years old. Oommen Chandy, who used to be the leader of Kerala, died early Tuesday morning in Bengaluru. In a Facebook post, his son Chandy Oommen told people that the former leader of Kerala had died. Oommen wrote on his Facebook page, “Appa has died,” but he didn’t say anything else.
Chandy, the former chief minister of Kerala, had not been feeling well for a long time and was getting care in Bengaluru.
As a way to honor the late former chief minister, the government of Kerala has made Tuesday a public holiday and said that two days of sadness will follow.
Kerala Congress President K Sudhakaran expressed sadness over the death of the former Kerala Chief Minister. “Today, I am deeply saddened by the loss of a legend, Chandy,” Sudhakaran wrote on Twitter.
“The sad end to the story of the king who conquered the world with the power of ‘love’. I’m very sad about the death of a hero today.
