Bengaluru: A Multitalented Social Hero for the week is Mrs. Ashwini; Ashwini is dedicated to the Environment and Justice Fighter, with boldness, and fights for the Rights of common people.

People nicknamed “Ashwini” as “Salumarada Thimmakka 2.0” – she is an environment lover.
Mrs. Ashwini is a social activist who has worked for the betterment of society for the last 17 years in Bangalore, Karnataka. It all began in the late 2000s when her father’s social work inspired Mrs. Ashwini to enter the social service and social activism field. Her father, Mr. Rajanna Nagawara, who himself is another senior representative in the field of social service, has made a great name among the hearts of thousands of people in and around Bangalore city in the area of Nagawara, he inspired her and was the backbone support for her during her early days. In everyone’s life,
Ashwini has been a social worker in Bangalore for 17 years. She is passionate about the Environment and Justice Fighter.
She has also won Honours.
there are some drastic moments that change people’s lives in major ways; that drastic moment and chain of events which changed her life forever came in the early 2000s when she was working as a Grama Panchayat Accountant in the Taluk of Mulbagal. Along her chain of work, she faced so much pressure from all directions and had to finally resign from her hard-earned government job due to some reasons and issues. At that moment, the organization opened its doors towards her, and a hard-working enthusiasm was observed in her father’s own social organization, which went by the name “Karnataka Sharmikara Vedike”, where Ashwini helped her father in various social actions which led to reforms, from protesting for the right to proper wages for garment workers to providing food kits for the people in need and during all her service she had only one thought in mind that is “Justice and Equal Rights for All, in the Society without Discrimination”.

In the year 2010, she got married to another notable social activist, who in his own ways, had achieved in-numerable accomplishments when it comes to social service. One of the most notable accomplishments together was planting numerous trees, amounting to approximately planting lakhs of tree saplings, in and around Bengaluru’s Urban and Rural areas in that one such as the Sadarmangala Lake Development Project. The whole picture was laid down in her path on various occasions towards saving Environment; the couple’s hard work for a Greener Bengaluru perspective was a greater help to the city for holding its title of the Garden City of India, as for many of our dreams throughout. In the year 2009, the couple started their first NGO called “Save Green”, which in its own way, has accomplished multiple milestones in making sure the greenery in and around Bengaluru city is always protected by its wings in development towards the ecology. After the successful start of their NGO, Ashwini was keen in her moto for Justice and Equal Rights for People, so she started the NGO called “Rise Up for Rights”, which till today has always worked to protect the rights of people throughout Karnataka and justice for all who come to its doorstep, even handling major civic issues in terms of having a better Traffic Infrastructure for Bangalore.
Apart from these NGOs, she has been part of multiple organizations like Dalita Karnataka Vedike, Raitha Bhoomi Horata Samithi, Janma bhoomi Karnataka Vedike, and others, Even she has received many Awards and recognitions throughout her journey in Social Service. She usually rejects recognition stating it’s our duty to serve society. Ashwini has always worked for the betterment of people in needy. She is Dynamic, straightforward and always determined to work as a mirror of society, even tries to find solutions to the everyday problem of people.
The incident which Ashwini remembers occurred recently during her talks with State News on an inner roadside of HAL Main Road, she was standing under a huge tree with her husband and he asks her do you know under which tree we are standing, which she replies I don’t know, Her husband tells her, that it’s a tree which we both of them had planted very long back, she remembers that and she was astonished, felt so happy that a small sapling which planted years ago has now grown to such a huge tree, where the shelter had made a cover to many birds and shade to people who passes by it every day. Ashwini, as a mother in small age, developed social activism in her son in following the steps of a brighter society, the son in his young age has been active in the sector much more by serving through the Save Green NGO and has participated in my tree sampling activities and dreams to one day become a great social activist in the steps of his parents and his grandfather.
One of Ashwini’s greatest dreams is to set up an ashram for abandoned children and ensure they are reunited with their parents or society. It would take a lot of effort to accomplish the dream, but she is determined and her strong willpower will make it happen in the near future. She owes her entire support to her Father, Husband and her true inspiration is the legendary Kannada actor Dr Rajkuamr and Karnataka Ratna Punith Raj Kumar & his family, in particular her love towards Dr Puneet Rajkumar, whom she admires a lot for his social work, Acting, Kindness and other N Reasons. Her determination is to work in his footstep to achieve Greatness.

In a discussion with a closely associated member, Social Activist and an Advocate, Mr Monish said to State News that he prescribed that an Ashwini-Enthusiastic Woman with a strong determination to zeal towards society’s injustice practice towards common people, has seen personally that she is always ready to stand in front for the people who are infringed by equality and justice, irrespective, whether its day or night. In other talks with Save Green Board Member Mr Rizwan, he explicitly said that Ashwini always had the upper hand of help when it’s related towards environmental issues, she never turned a single complaint received to the Organisation unattended and it’s always a pleasure for me to be her colleague.
This could be one of the quotes we could say when we were about to finish the interview, at last, we would like to conclude our brief interaction with Ashwini, with a few lines, as a daughter, as a mother, a wonderful supporting wife and as a Social Activist, she is like many peas in a single pod, with which having a high accomplishment rate in her past with big dreams and hope in the future, we wish her All the Best.
