Bengaluru: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has hiked the prices of Nandini milk, curds, and buttermilk; the price will be effective August 1, 2023. Due to growing input costs, such as calf feed and power prices, as well as outbreaks of lumpy skin disease (LSD), milk unions were suffering considerable losses. In response to these issues, he sought a Rs 5 per liter price increase for milk and milk products. However, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was unhappy with their proposal and allowed just a Rs 3 increase, insisting that the full increased sum be provided to the farmers. As a result, the Karnataka Milk Federation has raised the pricing of Nandini milk and other products, such as curd and buttermilk, effective Tuesday.
