Bengaluru: To reduce public annoyance, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has prohibited the use of loudspeakers inside Namma Metro trains. However, passengers are permitted to wear earbuds while listening to music.

It has not been clarified by BMRCL whether any consequences will be imposed for non-compliance with the regulation.
On Thursday, an announcement was issued on Metro trains that no music should be played while traveling inside the train.
Namma Metro has recently been aggressively raising public awareness about the dos and don’ts inside Metro trains by playing short movies on the train’s display system. Some of these include food limitations and adhering to the train’s line system while boarding.
