The transport union could have gone on strike in a peaceful manner if it chose to do so.

According to a local, we have been seeing auto driver’s hooliganism since this morning. We called the police, and when the police arrived, all of the auto-rickshaw drivers left. The auto-rickshaw drivers were enraged at the bikers, and this all happened in full daylight. Whatever happened today, it seems the law has been flouted in Bengaluru. Many individuals have sustained losses today due to the Bengaluru Police failure. Bengaluru Police is responsible for maintaining peace and order in the city, yet their incompetence has resulted in significant damage. Today’s strike was for beneficial purposes, but because of the transport union, it has had a negative impact on the public, which is very shameful.

Netizens are calling for action to be taken against the organizer of the strike (Bandh) by the Bangalore City Police. Failure to do so may negatively impact the reputation of the Bengaluru police department.
